Amazon.com aStores
People are always looking for ways to generate extra income from their websites. A good way to make some extra money AND share your passion about a subject is to open an Amazon.com aStore.
Let’s start by looking at an examples:
- http://astore.amazon.com/chardickgadshill - This is my aStore on my Charles Dickens site
- http://astore.amazon.com/conandoyle-20 - This is my Conan Doyle aStore.
By the way, if you’re a regular at Amazon.com and have a wish list you may have noticed these items featured in the above aStores. What’s going on? The stores use cookies to customize the items in the store. (Click here if you don’t know what cookies are.)
The store “owners” will get a small percentage (4% to 8.5% currently) of each sale made through their store. It’s as simple as that.
To add an aStore to your website you need to become an Amazon.com Associate. Then I usually help my customers set up the look and feel of the store, place a sample product or two and then they’re off and running!
