As you may know from reading this blog, I’m a big fan of HostMySite.com. They host several of my sites and I often have customers sign up for their hosting. HostMySite is now offering Postini spam filtering.

Before I signed up for Postini I was getting about 150 spam emails a day. (I’m not exaggerating. It really was that many.) Once I signed up for Postini that number fell dramatically to about 4 a day. I love it!!! Every day Postini provides a list of emails that it hasn’t sent to me because it suspects them of being spam. If I agree then I do nothing. If I see something on the spam list that shouldn’t be there I log into my Postini account and add the sender to my list of approved senders. It’s easy!

There’s a minimal charge of $1 a month per mailbox for this service. It’s a dollar well spent!
